With Spring comes tulips....

I took this picture back in 1998 at the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival in Washington. My friend Leanne Carlson and I went there for the day. What a sight to see! What a way to see God's creation. So many colors and types of tulips. Rows and rows as far as you can see. The festival is usually held sometime in March or April depending on the weather that season. This for sure should be on your list of places to see before you die. For more information go to: http://www.tulipfestival.org/. Flowers I love flowers. I think God knew flowers would bring happiness to us women on any day not just a special occassion. God took the time to put so many details into a flower. Why? I think it's because the God we serve is not an assembly line kind of maker. It says in Psalms 139:13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. v14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Isn't that awesome? We each were made with our own unique mold designed to seek, praise and worship our creator. Let's ask the Lord to see the flower he has made us to be and to be a fragrance that draws those around us closer to Him. May Jesus allow the flowers in you to bloom for His glory!

Lord, please bless my Monday!

In a way Mondays represent to me mini new beginnings. An opportunity to make someones day brighter! I start off with a bounce in my step. Excited to see all the students at the high school where I work. I love to ask them about their weekend. Each student has their own unique personality. Some need to be encouraged. Some face hard things in their home life. Some don't know what it is like to live without. Some only know what it is like to live without. Some walk as if they don't have a care in the world while others seem to carry the world on their shoulder. We all need Jesus. No matter what! We all long to be accepted and loved. Isn't it awesome how the Lord offers us unlimited "new beginnings?" He allows us the grace to have do overs! It says in Lamentations 3:21-23 v21 This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope. v22 The Lord's loving kindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassion's never fail. v23 They are new every morning; Great is Thy faithfulness. May you never look at another Monday the same.

Simple things...

I remember when our kids were little they thought if the sun was out when they woke up that it would be a day when they could wear their bathing suits. They did not care where the water came from they just wanted to play and get wet. They didn't need the lake, ocean or swimming pool. They knew they would have fun simply playing with the hose in Papa and Grandma's backyard. I love the simple things and times we can just simply enjoy the seasons we are in. With this being the first weekend of Spring I encourage all of you along with myself to welcome this new season and ask God to simply use us in the lives of others. "Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Isaiah 43:19 (NAS)
